So What Happened?

Well that is what you may be asking yourself.  Here is my story along with my group;

   Ok, so reading my first two posts, there is a lot of inconstancy, the zombies from the city, NY city that is, had not reached the island yet as it says in the first post.  I was scared and freaking out when i wrote it.  By the time my second post was out and running i was calmer.  We did miss classify the outbreak rank, it turned out to be a category 3 in the beginning.  From what i could gather while leaving the island, the zombies broke through the military defenses within three days.  Two of the other safe houses that were supposed to be inhabited by those who followed the guide (...that kinda makes us sound like a cult, we are not, we are just prepared for anything) were totally empty, food supplies and water/weapons gone.  They must have evacuated.  Third and closest to the bridges... well lets just say we didn't dare go in it.
   Looking back on it now, i am great full, as should any surviving islander be, that the army royally screwed the F**k up at Yonkers.  The brunt of their attackers came from the City, so it was much easier to travel through, though still not without thousands of zombies who didn't feel like walking up there.  Two of us got bitten in the city, they were brave enough to tell us to run and started making a lot of noise, so as to attract as many zombies as possible to them, before putting a bullet in their brains.  Their names were Gus and Henry, brave men.  So it was just me, Nicholas, and Dan.  We managed to make it out of the state without further incident.  Luckily most of the zombies were lured north so the farms were ripe for the picking.  There was one though that got under our nerves.  There was a church next to one, and when they heard us, streaming out came a dozen little girls, all zombified, and one adult woman, probably the one who infected them.  We had to put twelve little girls down with machetes that night.  Lets leave it at, it was not pleasant.
   Soon enough we met up with the retreating army.  We could tell it was them because they practically had a swarm on their hands.  We were able to flank the zombies, but by the end of the battle they had lost all of their trigger happy idiots.  This was both a good and bad thing.  Trigger happy idiots can always be trained, but if they aren't they just serve to get their partners killed.  We taught the rest of them, only aim for the head. These were the battle warn guys, and they were very effective against the living dead, especially seeing as they all had silencers.  By that time our group had grown from 3 to 14.  Eleven men out of the Thirty in the squad had survived.  We never really got to know each other.  All our focus was on survival.
   Our next challenge were the rockies.  By that time the coldest winter that the world had ever felt had enveloped the northern U.S.  I think we were in Montana at the time, trying to avoid very populated cities in Arizona and New Mexico.  The only reprieve was that the zombies froze in this weather.  We didn't see one our whole time in the rockies.  We had other problems.  Nicholas had contracted Frostbite.  He died that night, and our number was now a dozen.  We distributed his ammo and gave him a burial, hoping that no zombies would go digging.

I have put a map of our journey up on Google Maps.  It came as a surprise to me that google was still up, so i'm going to take advantage of it.

8 Months Later

Aaaaand we'ere back!!!

   That was kinda lame huh?  Well i'm sorry that i have taken so freaking long to check in with the internet.  It only just came back up.  Right after my last post New York State lost all power, and that meant i lost all internet.  but eight months later i am back...  wow there is so much to fill you people in on... if you are still there that is...
   The government (or what is remaining of it) just gave me rights to a generator.  They are becoming a little more liberal with those, but not very.  Just lowered the rights level to Journalist, and apparently that applies too me.  So where to begin... lets start with the Great Panic.  This was like a world wide event, the world at first just decided to deny it was happening, the dead rising that is... that didn't turn out to well.  Millions slaughtered.  I think the U.S. woke up just after the middle east.  They were closing their borders tight man, once they were closed you didn't get in or out of that place.
   Anyway the government thought to quell the panic they would show off our military prowess and use all of our greatest technological achivements against the zombies, this was the battle of Yonkers.  It was a massacre for all of our big bombs, we took out maybe a quarter of their numbers.  Only a few men made it out alive, i heard the government had them dig f**kin trenches man, against the living dead!  Well that there was our greatest military defeat in history.
   We, however were not the hardest hit.  Asia was devastated, hell the whole of Japan was evacuated into other countries.  China was a wreck too, the biggest population on earth, the biggest idiots in charge, they were counting on numbers to win the fight, but every time one of their number was bitten, they turned against their friends, and the tables, they didn't turn, they snapped in half.  In the end a civil war took place, and the rebels nuked the S**t out of the secret base of the Chinese leaders
   We still don't know what happened to North Korea.  One day just before the zombies got global, they just disappeared off the face of the earth.  We think one of two things have happened.  Either A, they went underground, or B, they went underground with infected and got slaughtered.
   From what we can tell in Europe, some of the castles have been used for their original purpose, to withstand siege.  As for america, well anyone sane enough, we all retreated west, past the rockies.  We cleared out what land the zombies had and we are holding our ground here.  We have had some reports of camps of survivors up north, probably because the zombies freeze up in the snow.  There are also the damn water logged zombies.  They have been coming up out of the ocean more and more frequently, probably from Japan.  i guess i will catch you guys up to speed in a few days.  I'm only aloud to use this thing for a certain amount of hours, every day.  And then i have my duties to fulfill.  Until next time.

                                                      Sincerely Yours,
                                                                Ralph
